Trade-up contracts
Trade-up outcomes are probabilistic. A listed contract can still lose even when its expected value is positive.
Profit estimates depend on tracked prices, marketplace fees, float requirements, item availability, and current market conditions. Those inputs can change quickly.
Always confirm the required wear, target float, input cost, and likely resale value before attempting a contract.
Skin prices
Displayed prices are reference data. They may lag behind live listings or differ across markets, regions, wear tiers, and item variants.
Low-liquidity skins and special variants can move sharply, so a quoted price may not match what you can actually buy or sell at in the moment.
Double-check current listings before making a purchase, sale, or trade-up decision.
Not a gambling operator
SkinGrind is an informational research tool. We do not host, operate, broker, or facilitate trade-ups, wagers, lotteries, or games of chance. Any trade-up contract you choose to attempt is executed by you on Steam, under the rules of Valve Corporation.
We do not custody, transfer, or trade items on your behalf, and we do not accept stakes or payouts. Use of the site does not create any commercial gaming relationship between you and us.
No financial, investment, or tax advice
Nothing on SkinGrind constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any virtual item. Expected profits, profit chances, and ROI figures are statistical estimates based on tracked prices and are provided for informational purposes only.
You are solely responsible for your own purchasing, trading, and risk decisions, and for any tax obligations that may result.
Probability and expected value
Trade-up outcomes are random within fixed probabilities. A contract with a positive expected value is profitable on average across many attempts; an individual contract can still lose money, sometimes substantially.
Small samples have high variance. Do not assume listed expected profits, profit chances, or ROI percentages will be realised on any single attempt or any short series of attempts.
Steam and third parties
Counter-Strike 2, Steam, and all related items are operated by Valve Corporation under the Steam Subscriber Agreement and related Steam policies. You are responsible for complying with those terms when buying, selling, or trading items. SkinGrind is not affiliated with Valve Corporation.
Pricing data may be sourced from third-party marketplaces such as CSFloat. We do not control those services and make no representation about the accuracy, completeness, or current state of their data.
General use
